Cosmetics have become a necessity for women's life. Without makeup, no one is seen, no skin care, no going out, which can be said to be a true portrayal of beautiful women.
Female friends have high expectations for cosmetics, hoping to retain youth and smooth the traces of years through it. However, the desire is very full, but the reality is very skinny.
If the cosmetics you use contain spices, p-phenylenediamine, preservatives, pigments, emulsifiers, sunscreens, antioxidants, antibacterial agents and other ingredients, and these ingredients just don't agree with you, you may suffer from cosmetic skin diseases.
Types of skin diseases caused by cosmetics
one
Cosmetic irritant contact dermatitis often occurs rapidly after contact without individual differences. The skin lesions are limited to the contact site, with obvious pain or burning sensation. The rash showed erythema, edema, blisters and erosion.
two
Cosmetic allergic contact dermatitis, which is often called "cosmetic allergy", has obvious individual differences, and only occurs in those who are allergic to one or several components of cosmetics. It is characterized by erythema, papule, blister, exudation and pruritus. It often occurs at the contact site, and generalized skin lesions may occur due to the absorption of local sensitizers or denatured necrotic substances.
three
Hormone dependent dermatitis is dermatitis caused by long-term external use of cosmetics containing hormones. Such as clobetasol propionate and other hormones, long-term use will cause skin erythema, papules, acne and so on. The disease is difficult to treat and has a long course of treatment.
four
Pigmented cosmetic dermatitis. Pigmented spots caused by cosmetics are often overlooked due to their slow occurrence, but often have a serious impact on facial appearance.
five
Cosmetic depigmentation spots. Some whitening and freckle removing cosmetics can cause skin depigmentation or even loss, which is easily misdiagnosed as vitiligo or pityriasis albicans.
six
Phototoxic / photosensitive dermatitis of cosmetics. Some cosmetics contain phototoxic substances or photosensitive plants, which can cause skin erythema, papules, even blisters and erosion after exposure to ultraviolet light.
seven
Cosmetics acne. Some cosmetics can cause mechanical blockage of the hair follicle mouth. Anaerobic environment is formed in the hair follicle mouth, which makes acne bacilli multiply. The skin lesions are often scattered throughout the face.
eight
Foreign body granuloma, the skin foreign body reaction caused by lip tattooing agent, eyebrow tattooing agent or hair planting, is called lip tattooing granuloma, eyebrow tattooing granuloma and hair planting granuloma. Local pruritus, erythema and nodules are the manifestations. Because cosmetics are implanted into deep parts of the skin, dermis and even subcutaneous tissue, it is difficult to remove, so it is difficult to cure.
Prevention of cosmetic dermatosis
First, pay attention to the ingredients of the formula when choosing cosmetics. Some cosmetics may use substances containing mercury, arsenic and bleach in order to enhance the efficacy of freckle removal and whitening, which should be avoided as far as possible. Cosmetics containing menthol, camphor, borneol and other ingredients should not be used by people with sensitive skin. There are three preservatives that cannot be used on the face: benzoates, urea aldehydes and imidazolinyl urea.
Secondly, we should choose suitable cosmetics according to our skin type, skin status, age, etc. For dry skin, choose moisturizing cosmetics, and for oily skin, choose cleaning or oil control cosmetics.
Thirdly, people with allergic skin should test whether there is allergic reaction before use. Before using a new cosmetic, people with allergic skin can apply a small amount behind their ears and observe for 24 hours before using it.
Finally, do not change cosmetics easily. Some cosmetics, such as hair dye and facial mask, should not be used too often.
